英語の教え方のテクニック No2；

Believe in yourself.  You can teach more than you think.

自分を信じよう。思った以に上教えられるはず。

I often hear from my students I can`t teach my children English because I can't speak English.

I can`t speak French ...

However I do know hello is "bonjour"
Counting goes un , deux, trois, quatre...

So if my children want to learn French I will teach them the 20 or so words and phrases that I know, later if they study from a French teacher or textbook I will ask them to teach me what they have learned.

Most Japanese know a lot more English than they realize.  If you are Japanese and are reading this I am sure you can say:

My name is~
I am ~ years old.
Name all basic colors red, blue, green etc..
Name 20 animals elephant, lion, bear etc...
Count to 100.

People often say "but I don`t want my child copying my katakana pronunciation", it`s not a big problem, please read tip number 6.

So please teach your kids whatever you know!

私は生徒から子供に英語を教えられない、なぜなら自分が英語を話せないからということをよく聞きます。

私は、フランス語を話せない…しかし、こんにちわは”ポンジュール”、数は１”アン”、２”ドウ”、３”トロワ”、４”キャトル"...ということは知っている。
だからもし自分の子供がフランス語を学びたいなら先ずは自分が知っている20ぐらいの語彙や表現をおしえる、その後で子供がフランス人の先生やテキストから学び、私は子供が何を学習してきたかを聞いてみると思います。

ほとんどの日本人は自分が思うより多くの英語を知っています。もしあなたが日本人でこの記事を読んでいるならこれらは言えると思いますよ：
名前、年齢、基本的な色（赤、青、緑など）、動物の名前20ぐらい（象、ライオン、熊など）、数100まで。

”でも私のカタカナ英語を子供にまねさせたくない”とみんな言います、しかしそれはそんなに問題ではありません。TIP 6を読んで下さい。

是非、自分が知っている事を子供に教えてあげて下さいね。
